Factories of the Future Awards 2019 call is now open

Advanced Factories is the most innovative event for industrial professionals that will celebrate its third edition at the CCIB in Barcelona from 9 to 11 of April. As a referral during that week on promoting innovation within the industry, they just announced that the application to participate at the Factories of the Future Awards 2019 is now open. These awards aim to promote innovation and digitalization in the industry, as well as to give visibility to the most disruptive projects and solutions that improve the competitiveness of the industrial sector.

Advanced Factories brings together more than 12,000 industrial professionals who want to know the latest news and solutions proposed by the more than 300 exhibiting firms that will be next to the Industry 4.0 Congress, where success stories will be shared by international experts. Advanced Factories is the event that aims to bring together the digitalization of the industry with innovative and competitive solutions for both large companies and industrialSMEs. With the challenge of boosting the industry, Advanced Factories wants to recognize with the Factories of the Future Awards the work, leadership, and transformation of those companies that are committed to innovation and are adapting to the new era of Industry 4.0.

There are the four categories considered:

Leadership in the digital transformation of the industrial plant: recognition of the transversal transformation of production processes incorporating digitalization and automation in their operations, in the customer experience and employees.

Promotion of the attraction and development of talent in the industry: recognition of the work of companies and organizations active in the adaptation and incorporation of their staff to the digital transformation, with a special interest in gender equality actions that encourage the incorporation of talent and improve the under representation of female employees in the industrial field.

Technological innovation for the factory of the future: category aimed to innovations in the field of digitalization and automation of industrial processes where the product or service is already implemented.

• Research and development of artificial intelligence applied to industrial plants: category for research and development in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) in industrial and production processes, including prototype implantations and pilot plants.

The call for the Factories of the Future Awards will be open until March 1st, 2019. More than fifty projects and companies submitted in the last edition. This year, the winners will be announced during the Gala dinner scheduled for Wednesday, April 10th, in Barcelona.
